SIMBANG GABI IN MONMOUTH COUNTY 
BEGINS MONDAY DECEMBER 13

Simbang Gabi is the Filipino custom of offering a nightly Mass each day for nine nights preceding Christmas Day to help the faithful prepare themselves for the joyous, yet solemn, celebration of the birth of our Lord. The novena of Masses, which signifies the nine months our Lord was in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, has become a beloved tradition and devotion to the Blessed Mother since the 1600s in the Philippines. Here in Monmouth County, and in every county that is covered by the Diocese of Trenton, an organizing committee is formed to ensure that all the faithful throughout the Diocese are given an opportunity to pray this novena. All are welcome to attend and participate. The Rosary will be prayed and confessions will be heard before every Mass. St. Catherine of Siena Parish will host Simbang Gabi on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 14. 6:30 PM Rosary & Confession. Mass at 7:00 PM.
