Homebound Ministry

This ministry is a parish outreach program to enrich the spititual life of our homebound and older parishioners.

We provide continuing connection to parishioners who are homebound for any reason. This may include anyone who has difficulty getting around due to age, illness, accident or inability to drive.

Our volunteer lay ministers contribute to a homebound parishioner's spitituality by:

  • bringing Holy Communion into the home
  • providing comfort and companionship through visits and telephone calls
  • sponsoring special programs

We bring Holy Communion on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays following Mass. Special arrangements are possible.

It is not necessary to have a special set-up in your home for the Communion ceremony.

We visit parishioners upon request in their home, a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility.

For more information call the parish office at 732-938-5375.

Lord,

You invite all who are burdened to come to You.

Allow Your healing hand to heal me.

Touch my soul with Your compassion for others.

Touch my heart with Your courage and infinite love for all.

Touch my mind with Your wisdom, that my mouth may always proclaim Your praise.

Teach me to reach out to You in my need, and help me lead others to You by my example.

Amen.
