About Virtus
VIRTUS is the safe environment training program required by the Diocese for all adults
who work or volunteer with children or vulnerable adults.
It provides important education on protecting children and vulnerable adults, recognizing warning signs of abuse,
and creating a safe, faith-filled environment.
All parish volunteers age 18 and older who have contact with children must complete:
- VIRTUS “Protecting God’s Children” training (one-time, in-person or online session)
- Background check and fingerprinting
- Signed Code of Conduct & Serving in Ministry Forms
Our parish office will guide you through the VIRTUS registration process and answer any questions you may have.
