What is Christian Initiation for Children? (Age 7 and Older)
Children who have reached the age of reason and are seeking Baptism or full initiation into the Catholic Church follow a formation process adapted to their age and stage of faith.
This process is for:
- children age 7 and older who have never been baptized
- baptized Christian children from another denomination who are seeking to become Catholic
- baptized Catholic children who have not yet received First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation
Children are formed through prayer, catechesis, parish life, and age-appropriate preparation for the sacraments.
